Commissioned works are often a blend of the clients’ tastes and artists’ eye they are often a creative hybrid between artist and client.  My best portraits are from clients who commission me with full confidence in my ability to capture an essence of a person and portraying that subject for the intended purpose. The challenge is to also make a good piece of art. I also include a few studies in this section since they give one a glimpse of the artist drawing for oneself.
